About Me
I am Eugenia,
My name is Eugenia Bugallal. I am Spanish by birth. I’ve lived in Boston for a year and in London for five.
We are living in an extraordinarily complex historical moment, with more than 58 active conflicts, the highest number since the Second World War. This lack of understanding prompted me to explore history from another perspective: biography: to find out about origins, to discover the peculiarities that shaped a particular character and the circumstances that forced a person to act in a unique way.
At Spanish-Balcony, we identify overlooked figures, researching their trajectories and documenting them from a humanitarian perspective
We document their lives—origins, peculiarities, and pressures—with the care one might reserve for a family heirloom.
These narratives come alive through dynamic tours and experiential events, where characters are not just presented but relived: through meals, tastings, and encounters steeped in their era and in Spain.
Our journey begins with women—some crowned by birth, others by merit—who deserve not just a footnote, but a chapter of their own.

Tributes from our travellers

“I have learnt many details in the “Signature tour” that are vital for imagining early 20th-century Spain, and at the end of the tour my historical view of Spain and its figures, especially women, has been enriched”
Zofia Romaniec (París, France)

“At Eugenia’s suggestion, we tried a typical Spanish cheese and wine tasting in a renovated 19th-century mansion, an incredible experience full of interesting facts that my family thoroughly enjoyed. I definitely recommend Spanish Balcony.”
Ietje Klaver (Amsterdam, Holland)

“My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Eugenia because she brought us closer to crucial events that help us understand the current situation in Spain. We laughed and had a great time”
Pierre (Berlin, Germany)

“I was very fortunate to be able to attend an event where Eugenia presented the biography of two queens, and it was an absolute delight. Afterwards, we enjoyed a typical period meal, and we will definitely be returning to future events she organises
Asunción González Berdejo (León, Spain)
